Decent rental, minor issue

I rented an Economy Car for a week to visit family. The price was good for the time I needed it, definitely budget-friendly compared to some others. The car itself was clean and worked perfectly, no mechanical problems. Picking it up at the local branch took a little longer than I expected, maybe 20 minutes with the paperwork. The staff was polite enough, just seemed a bit understaffed that day. I used the Fuel Purchase Option which saved me a stop before returning it, that was convenient. Overall, it was a solid experience for the money, just wish the pickup was faster.

Hey, thinking about booking a car with Thrifty for a trip to Florida. Anyone know if they allow debit cards for the hold or do I absolutely need a credit card?

I used my debit card last year, but I think they put a pretty big hold on it. Like, more than the rental itself. Just a heads up.

Yeah, I've heard they do, but it's usually a bigger deposit than if you use a credit card. Might wanna check their site for the exact amount.

wondering if Thrifty lets you stack discounts? I have an AAA membership and also saw a promo code for 10% off. can I use both?

Nah, pretty sure it's one promo code AND one corporate code. So the AAA would be your corporate code, but you can usually add a PC on top of that. I did it once.

Afaik, you can use one promo code and one corporate program code. So AAA should work with another discount code, as long as it's not another corporate one.
